Here's a recap of our live coverage of this evening's Evanston City Council Planning and Development Committee meeting.

The meeting was scheduled to begin at 7:15 p.m.

Meeting called to order at 7:16 p.m.

Minutes approved.

P 1 – Change to development agreement for 1941 Jackson Ave. Raises income limit for purchaser from 60% of AMI to 120% of AMA. Approved.

P 2 – Rezoning 1402-1408 Brown Ave. from R2 to R4. Approved.

P 3 – Special use for Red Robin Burger Works, 1700 Maple Ave. Approved.

P 4 – Amending city code to limit large vertical window signs. (Would apply to a sign now on The Grove rehab facility at Oakton Street and Asbury Avenue. See the image above projected on the council chamber screen by city staff to illustrate the issue.)

Alderman Don Wilson, 4th Ward, says he's concerned about a blanket rule in this situation.

Muenzer says there are certain options for temporary signage that could be larger that would be permitted.

Approved.
