ENH, U of C agree to affiliate
Evanston Northwesten Healthcare and the University of Chicago's medical school are joining forces.
The academic affiliation agreement will place students, residents and fellows from Chicago's Pritzker School of Medicine at the three ENH hospitals in Evanston, Glenview and Highland Park.
ENH and Northwestern University broke off their 78-year affiliation earlier this year in a dispute over money and control.
The deal gives the south side medical center access to more fully insured patients and lets ENH maintain its status as a hospital group affiliated with a major academic medical center.
