Rock throwing

Several Augusts ago I was gardening in my back yard when I heard chatter in the alley from approaching kids.  I thought nothing of it until a chunk of sidewalk came whizzing past my left ear so close that I felt the breeze it created before it hit my house.  I ran to the alley and saw three black boys on bikes heading east, two of them high-fiving one another.  I called the police, who took my report.  When I asked they told me they had had three similar incidents that week.  They indicated it could be a gang-initiation ritual. How cowardly!

Thanks for the heads-up.
