GetPrinting3D is is billed as a retail showroom and demonstration cafe where people can experience this new technology in action, learn about the various 3D printing processes, design their own 3D objects, and have them made in-store. The store will also give business owners a place to compare and buy professional-grade printers.
"We see our business as a venue where people of all ages can see the technology in use, learn, ask questions, use the printers, interact with 3D printing experts to learn more about this exciting technology and of course, purchase 3D printers and supplies" Brent Cox, the company's marketing director, said.
Cox also said that GetPrinting3D will also offer seminars and events designed for the business community. "Our vision is to have a balance between the business and consumer sides of the 3D printer industry. There's no real proven model for this type of venture so we’re anxious to see how it develops."
