Every day, all over Evanston, volunteers are making a difference – providing direct services such as mentoring youth, feeding the hungry, building nonprofits by serving as board leaders, and serving in many other ways. During National Volunteer Week (April 21-27), Northwestern University, Evanston Township High School, the City of Evanston, and the Evanston Community Foundation are joining together to celebrate the extraordinary work that volunteers do.
We need your help to recognize volunteers who exemplify the difference one person can make in the Evanston community! For the ninth year, Northwestern University, Evanston Township High School, the Evanston Community Foundation and City of Evanston will host the Volunteer Recognition Event, scheduled for late April. Please consider nominating high school students, Northwestern University students, and/or Evanston community members you know who have gone above and beyond in contributing to the community or who have a remarkable service story to share, as an Outstanding Volunteer of the Year. Submit your nomination online at: http://www.norris.northwestern.edu/csi/community/volunteer-recognition/ by February 15th, 2013.
We will honor these Outstanding Volunteers at a reception at Northwestern University during National Volunteer Week. We need your help to recognize the tremendous contributions of Evanston Volunteers!
