Mass at St. Mary's for earthquake victims

Saint Mary's is home to a sizeable Haitian faith community. The Mass will be celebrated in a charismatic Catholic tradition.

Resident's call leads to burglary arrest

Police say that the resident saw a man break a rear window of a home on the block about 10:22 a.m., enter the house and then moments later flee on foot.
Bill's Blues license suspended

Evanston's Liquor Control Review Board voted Monday to suspend the license of Bill's Blues, 1029 Davis St., for non-payment of liquor taxes.
Mayor Elizabeth Tisdahl said bar owner Bill Gilmore has fallen four months behind on paying the city tax on liquor sales and also is behind on state liquor tax payments.
