Evanston's looking good in regional study

A new study from the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning says Evanston has done well compared to other communities in the region over the past decade in achieving both population growth and better than average growth in median household income.

Only about a third of the nearly 300 municipalities in the seven-county showed an increase in population and saw household incomes increase by more than the regional median.

Of those, only 16, including Evanston, were in Cook County.

More details on the study, and a map showing how each community performed, are available on the CMAP website.
