- 12-year-old girl hit in crosswalk – Oct. 1 – Evanston police say a 12-year-old girl walking her bicycle across Green Bay Road in a crosswalk at Central Street was hit by a car about 4 p.m. today.
- Two hurt in car crash at Lake and Ridge – Oct. 2 – The drivers of two cars were injured about 1 p.m. today when their vehicles collided at the intersection of Ridge Avenue and Lake Street in Evanston.
- E-cigarette users turn out to oppose ban – Oct. 15 – Evanston aldermen postponed action Monday on proposed restrictions on electronic cigarettes after several users said there’s no good reason to limit their use.
