WCGO Radio, which operates from studios at 2100 Lee St. in Evanston, is being sold to a Memphis-based station owner.
WCGO broadcasts at 1590 AM with a mix of news/talk and foreign-language programming. Seller Kovas Communications reportedly will get about $3 million for the station.
Pollack reportedly plans to add more local programming at WCGO. Chuck Duncan is expected to continue as general manager.
WCGO first signed on in 1947 as WNMP with a light-classical music format and for years had studios in the Orrington Hotel in downtown Evanston.
