Children from the ages of 2 to 9 are encouraged to come to the Evanston Public Library in their pajamas on Nov. 17 when Illinois Secretary of State and State Librarian Jessie White will read a story and give each kid a free book.
Family Reading Night: Jammie Time will begin at 7 p.m. in the Main Library’s Children’s Room at 1703 Orrington Ave.
No registration is required, nor are pajamas, the library assures parents.
Family Reading Night is sponsored in cooperation with iREAD, a program of the Illinois Library Association, and Illinois Reads, a project of the Illinois Reading Council.
