Check out local design winners

Design Evanston handed out awards to 21 projects from among 47 nominees late last week. And we thought you'd like to take a look at some of the winners.

From the Jewish Reconstructionist Congregation synagogue at Dodge Avenue and Mulford Street (shown above) to a new garage at a private home with translucent walls that glow in the dark, they represent what a team of design professional judges concluded were the most interesting project in town completed recently.

You can find a selection of photos of some of the winners in our photo gallery.

Excellent additions to Evanston's long architectural heritage.  Congratulations to all of the designers and to the property owners! The City of Evanston will benefit for generations from projects such as these. Evanston is clearly still creative and diverse in it's built environment.  Thanks to Design Evanston for all of your hard work to recognize and bring attention to these projects.
