Burglary
Someone stole a red and black Fisher single-speed bicycle from a locked storage shed in the 200 block of Custer Avenue between 11 p.m. March 29 and 6:10 p.m. March 30.
A thief broke the door to an apartment in the 300 block of Callan Avenue sometime between 11:59 p.m. Sunday and 11:38 p.m.Thursday and stole many items, including jewelry, a girl's bicycle, a bag of hand tools, a microwave, a steam cleaner and a grill.
Martin Hugh Kelliher, 50, of 1412 W. Sherwin in Chicago, was arrested at 1618 Benson Avenue at 12:34 p.m. Wednesday and charged with burglary. More details here.
Drugs
Patrick Lynn Kiessling, 23, of 2222 Sherman Ave., was arrested at home at 12:40 a.m. Thursday and charged with possession of cannabis. He's due in court at 9 a.m. May 21.
Graffiti
Someone painted graffiti in the common area of an apartment building in the 900 block of Michigan Avenue between 6:15 and 9 p.m. Thursday.
Theft
Someone stole two Mongoose bicycles from an unlocked storage area in an apartment building in the 1300 block of Oak Avenue between 10 a.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. Thursday.
Someone stole a locked grey and green bicycle from the yard of a home in the 1100 block of garnett Place. The theft was discovered at 4:11 p.m. Wednesday.
A woman discovered at 11:04 a.m. Wednesday that someone had stolen her wallet from her purse while she was at a restaurant in the 1700 block of Sherman Avenue.
Someone driving a 1996 Ford tried to steal copper gutters from a home in the 1100 block of Brummel Street, but fled when the homeowner caught him in the act.
Jose Anthony Rocha, 33, of 1921 Howard St., was arrested at the Home Depot at 2201 Oakton St. at 12:10 p.m. Wednesday and charged with retail theft. He's due in court at 9 a.m. April 25.
