Crime: Chicago man arrested for telephone harassment

Evanston police have charged a Chicago man with criminal damage to property and telephone harassment after an incident at an apartment building on Church Street. That's among the stories in today's daily crime bulletin.

Battery

1700 Brown

A victim was hit by two people the victim knew on the street in the 1700 block of Brown Avenue at 7:59 p.m. Thursday. The suspects are described as a 6-foot-4-inch tall black male weighing 240 pounds and a 5-foot-8-inch tall black female weighing 140 pounds.

Criminal damage to property

1124 Church

Mandrell Bakari Nichols, 33, of 7609 Greenview in Chicago, was arrested at 1124 Church St. at 1:55 p.m. Wednesday and charged with criminal damage to property and telephone harassment. He's due in court at 1:30 p.m. May 17.

Criminal damage to vehicle

1600 Mulford

Someone slashed tires on a 2004 Buick and a 1998 Toyota parked in the driveway of a home in the 1600 block of Mulford Street between 11 p.m. Wednesday and 4 p.m. Thursday.

Criminal trespass

1325 Howard

Michael Demaret and Phylicia D. Dorsey, both 19, of 8155 Knox in Skokie, were arrested at 1325 Howard St. at 1:49 a.m. Thursday and charged with criminal trespass to a vehicle. They're due in court at 9 a.m. May 24.

Drugs

8900 McCormick

Joyce C. Woods, 56, of 633 Hull Terrace, was arrested at 8900 McCormick Blvd at 5:57 p.m. Wednesday and charged with possession of a controlled substance. She's due in court at 9 a.m. May 15.

633 Hull

Joyce C. Woods, 56, of 633 Hull Terrace, was arrested at 1826 Emerson St. at 5:59 p.m. Wednesday and charged with possession of a controlled substance. She's due in court at 9 a.m. May 15.

Theft

2255 Howard

Mark E. Mack, 41, of 1634 W. 77th St. in Chicago, was arrested at 2255 Howard St. at 2 p.m. Thursday and charged with theft. He's due in court at 9 a.m. May 8.

2300 Howard

Two men tried to steal something from a store in the 2300 block of Howard Strreet between 7:55 and 10:05 p.m. Wednesday.

2700 Green Bay

Someone poured liquor into a medicine bottle and then put the open bottle back on the shelf at the Dominick's store in the 2700 block of Green Bay Road between 6 p.m. Monday and 6:50 p.m. Wednesday.

Traffic

800 Howard

Gina Marie Krzysiek, 47, of 1822 Crain St., was arrested at 800 Howard St. at 12:55 a.m. Thursday and charged with a traffic violation. She's due in court at 10:30 a.m. June 15.

1001 Hull

Glen Nelson Baker, 49, of 1508 Hinman Ave., was arrested at 1:02 a.m. Thursday at 1001 Hull Terrance and charged with driving under the influence. He's due in court at 9 a.m. June 8.
