Evanston crime: Burglaries on Hinman and Darrow

A flat-screen, high-definition television set was stolen in the 500 block of Hinman Avenue and a purse and several articles of clothing were taken from a home in the 2100 block of Darrow Avenue in Evanston burglaries. These and other stories in today's daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Burglary

500 Hinman

Someone slashed the window screen to gain access to an apartment in the 500 block of Hinman Avenue between 2:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Tuesday and stole a 40-inch flat-screen high-definition television set.

2100 Darrow

Someone gained entrance via the front door to a home in the 2100 block of Darrow Avenue between 2 p.m. Sunday and 7:30 p.m. Tuesday and stole a purse and several articles of clothing.

Drugs

7463 Ridge

Antonio Deandre Scott, 21, of 7645 N. Sheridan Road, Chicago, was arrested at 7463 N. Ridge Ave., Chicago, at 10:06 p.m. Monday and charged with possession of cannabis. He is due in court on May 1 at 9 a.m.

1410 Juneway

Henry Bresford Gill, Jr., 33, of 1410 W. Juneway, Chicago, was arrested at his home at 7:25 p.m. Monday and charged with possession of cannabis. He is due in court on May 1 at 9 a.m..

Theft

1100 Foster

An unlocked bicycle was stolen off the porch of a home in the 1100 block of Foster Street between 11 p.m. Monday and 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Traffic

1321 Oak

Colin Michael Sheldon, 28, of 1240 Oak Ave., was arrested at 1321 Oak Ave. at 12:56 a.m. Wednesday and charged with consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle. He is due in court on May 16 at 9 a.m.

930 Church

Miguel Angel Santos, 27, of Melrose Park, was arrested at 930 Church St. at 8:48 p.m. Tuesday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on May 14 at 9 a.m.

Warrant

1030 Austin

Dennis Michael Hugunin, 41, of Carol Stream, was arrested at 1030 Austin St. at 8:45 a.m. Tuesday on an outstanding warrant. He is due in court on May 15 at 1:30 p.m.

Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
