Evanston crime: Bonked on head with golf club

Assault

1818 Emerson

Keith D. H. Donald, 19, of 6432 N. Ridge Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 1818 Emerson St. at 8:07 p.m. Thursday and charged with simple assault. He is due in court on June 22 at 10:30 a.m.

Battery

1600 Emerson

A victim was hit in the head with a golf club shortly before 6:30 p.m. Thursday at a park in the 1600 block of Emerson Street.

1827 Lyons

Keith D. H. Donald, 19, of 6432 N. Ridge Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 1827 Lyons St. at 10:08 p.m. Wednesday and charged with battery. He is due in court on May 24 at 9 a.m.

Criminal damage to property

900 Chicago

Someone damaged a window with a rock at an apartment in the 900 block of Chicago Avenue between 10:45 p.m. May 3 and 6:30 p.m. Sunday.

Criminal damage to vehicle

Church at Hartrey

The letter "B" was carved onto the side of a 1988 Mercury parked on the street at Church Street and Hartrey Avenue between 8 a.m. and 3:50 p.m. Wednesday.

Drugs

7313 Winchester

Rudoph William Turner, 38, of 7313 N. Winchester, Chicago, was arrested at his home at 11 p.m. Thursday and charged with possession of cannabis. He is due in court on June 22 at 10:30 a.m.

Other

1826 Emerson

Dajuan Andre Blackwell, 21, of 9323 Hamlin St., was arrested at 1826 Emerson St. at 4:21 p.m. Thursday and charged with littering. He is due in court on June 4 at 9 a.m.

Shots heard

100 Elmwood

Shots were heard around 3 a.m. Friday in the 100 block of Elmwood Avenue. Police checked the area but found nothing amiss.

Theft

2301 Oakton

Michael Nicholas Bart, 22, of 8512 N. Kedvale, Skokie, was arrested at 2301 Oakton St. at 8:18 p.m. Thursday and charged with the theft of tools and equipment from a business establishment. He is due in court on June 8 at 1:30 p.m.

1900 Maple

A vehicle sticker was noticed missing after the driver received a ticket in the 1900 block of Maple Avenue. The theft occurred between 10:42 a.m. May 3 and 3:06 p.m. Thursday.

1600 Sherman

Someone broke a lock on a gym locker in the 1600 block of Sherman Avenue between 8 p.m. and 11:02 p.m. Monday and stole cash.

Hinman at Grove

Someone removed the seat from a bicycle in a bike rack at Hinman Avenue and Grove Street between 5 p.m. and 9:20 p.m. Thursday.

1000 Central

Someone stole an iPad left unattended in a medical office in the 1000 block of Central Street between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. Wednesday.

Traffic

Hinman at Main

Kayla K. Love, 25, of 1714 W. Juneway Terr., Chicago, was arrested at Hinman Avenue and Main Street at 9:39 a.m. Thursday and charged with a traffic violation. She is due in court on June 8 at 9 a.m.
