Battery
1454 Elmwood
Kashif Mujahid Abdula-Aziz, 46, of 1570 Oak Ave., was arrested at Evanston police headquarters at 2 p.m. yesterday and charged with simple battery. He is due in court on July 28 at 9 a.m.
Criminal Damage
1700 Dodge
Someone damaged the front glass door of a barber shop in the 1700 block of Dodge Avenue between 11:45 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. yesterday.
Drugs
1225 Darrow
Michael Lamont Bristow, 28, of 1131 Dewey Ave., was arrested at 1225 Darrow Ave. at 12:25 a.m. Wednesday and charged with possession of cannabis with intent to deliver. He is due in court on July 21 at 9 a.m.
Shots Heard
Church at Darrow
Gunshots were reported at Church Street and Darrow Avenue at 9:30 p.m. yesterday. Police checked the area but found nothing.
1600 Emerson
Gunshots were reported in the 1600 block of Emerson Street at 4:18 a.m. yesterday. Police checked the area but found nothing.
1800 Ashland
Gunshots were reported in the 1800 block of Ashland Ave. at 10:14 p.m. yesterday. Police checked the area but found nothing.
Theft
800 Sherman
A bicycle was stolen from the sidewalk in the 800 block of Sherman Avenue between 4:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. yesterday.
2600 Ridge
An iPad was removed from a room at Evanston Hospital between 8:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3 p.m. yesterday.
Traffic
1119 Dodge
Ocyrus Levatta Flowers, 20, of 2439 W. Dugdale, Waukegan, was arrested at 1119 Dodge Ave. at 7:29 p.m. yesterday and charged with a traffic violation. She is due in court on July 22 at 9 a.m.
1143 Forest
Andre S. Stinnette, 35, of 1618 Davis St., was arrested at 1143 Forest Ave. at 12:15 a.m. today and charged with consumption of alcohol in a vehicle. He is due in court on July 12 at 9 a.m.
