Battery

1454 Elmwood

Wallace Darling, 63, of 3063 Stafford, Markham, was arrested at Evanston police headquarters at 8:39 a.m. on Jan. 3 and charged with battery. He is due in court on Feb. 27 at 10:30 a.m.

1001 Emerson

Tully E. Smitherman, 1400 Chicago Ave., was arrested at 1001 Emerson St. at 8:39 a.m. Sunday and charged with domestic battery.

Drugs

1128 Chicago

Scott Andrew Gallagher, 21, of 9504 Lowell Ave., Skokie, was arrested at 1128 Chicago  Ave. at 7:17 p.m. yesterday and charged with possession of cannabis. He is due in court on Feb. 27 at 10:30 a.m.

Sarah Grace Mordecki, 22, of  9233 Kenneth Ave., Skokie, was arrested at 1128 Chicago Ave. at 8:14 p.m. yesterday and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. She is due in court on Feb. 1 at 9 a.m.

Graffiti

1300 Noyes

Graffiti was discovered in an alley in the 1300 block of Noyes Street. at 1013 a.m. yesterday.

Other

1406 Cleveland

Odain D. Richards, 23, of 716 Dobson St., was arrested at 1406 Cleveland St. at 9:15 p.m. yesterday and charged with violation of an order of protection. He is due in court on Jan. 18 at 9:30 a.m.

Shots Heard

Hinman at Lee

Gunshots were reported at Hinman Avenue and Lee Street at 9:40 p.m. yesterday. Police checked the area but found nothing.

Theft

1000 Grove

A cell phone was stolen from a locked locker at the McGaw YMCA at 10:13 a.m. yesterday. 

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
