Two lost dogs found in Evanston

Evanston Now reader Edita Cosnotti says she's trying to find the owner of two dogs who she found in the vicinity of Foster Street and Dodge Avenue over the weekend.

Update 8:45 a.m. 6/12/12: Cosnotti says the dogs now have been reunited with their owner.

She says the two -- a cocker spaniel and small gray terrier -- were hanging around her yard while she was working outside and started playing with her own dogs.

When the visitors stayed around for a long time, Cosnotti says, she gave them some food and water, and eventually took them to the animal shelter to see if they were microchipped.

Unfortunately they weren't microchipped and didn't have tags or collars either.
