AUTO THEFT

2400 Church

A 2005 GMC vehicle, parked in the driveway of a home in the 2400 block of Church Street, was stolen between 7 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. yesterday.

BURGLARY

1500 Seward

Credit and cebit cards were among items taken from an unlocked 2014 Chevrolet in the 1500 block of Seward Street between 6 p.m. Saturday and 10:40 a.m. yesterday.

700 Sherman

Cash was removed from an unlocked 2006 Toyota in the 700 block of Sherman Avenue between 10 a.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday.

1100 Darrow

Tools were taken from an unlocked 2010 Honda in the 1100 block of Darrow Avenue shortly after midnight Saturday.

1100 Wesley

Cash and vehicle parts were taken from an unlocked 2014 Subaru in the driveway of a home in the 1100 block of Wesley Avenue between midnight and 11 a.m. yesterday.

1000 Asbury

A bicycle was stolen from the unlocked garage of a home in the 1000 block of Asbury Avenue between 1:30 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. yesterday.

BATTERY

2125 Ridge

Joe Suarez, 30, of 2125 Ridge Ave., was arrested at that address at 8:10 p.m. yesterday and charged with domestic battery.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE

1600 Simpson

Windows were damaged on a 2016 Hyundai in the 1600 block of Simpson Street between 8 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. Friday.

100 Callan

A windshield was damaged on a 2005 Honda in an apartment parking space in the 100 block of Callan Avenue between 11:15 p.m. Saturday and 12:24 a.m. yesterday.

GRAFFITI

1600 Chicago

Graffiti was discovered at the Whole Foods Market in the 1600 block of Chicago Avenue at 1:02 a.m. yesterday.

1000 Davis

Graffiti was discovered at a restaurant in the 1000 block of Davis Street at 11:04 p.m. Saturday.

Davis at Ridge

Graffiti was discovered on the street at Davis Street and Ridge Avenue at 1:06 p.m. Friday.

MURDER

1454 Elmwood

Shakiel A. Coleman, 26, of 101 Clyde Ave., was arrested at Evanston police headquarters at 9:46 a.m. Wednesday and charged with first degree murder.

THEFT

1200 Cleveland

A catalytic converter was removed from a 2002 Honda in the 1200 block of Cleveland Street between 9 p.m. on Oct. 10 and 9 a.m. on Oct. 11.

600 Chicago

Alcoholic products were stolen from the Walgreens Pharmacy in the 600 block of Chicago Avenue at about 4 p.m. Friday.

800 Hinman

A package delivered to an apartment common area in the 800 block of Hinman Avenue was stolen between 4 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. yesterday.

Davis at Sherman

A bicycle secured to a bike rack near Davis Street and Sherman Avenue was stolen around 5:50 p.m. yesterday.

2100 Ridge

A bicycle secured to a bike rack was stolen in the 2100 block of Ridge Avenue between midnight on Oct. 5 and noon on Oct. 12.

2000 Dodge

A weedeater machine was taken from the driveway of a home in the 2000 block of Dodge Avenue around 3:30 a.m. on Oct. 11.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute an assumption of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Court in Skokie.
