Evanston reported 12 new COVID-19 cases today bringing the city’s total to 469, while across Illinois 1,656 new cases were reported for a total of 77,741.
Chicago reported 557 new cases today for a total of 30,950. Skokie reported nine new cases today for a total of 586.
Evanston’s reported death toll remained at 15 today, while Chicago reported 48 more deaths for a total of 1,337 and the statewide death count rose by 57 to 3,406. Skokie’s death toll now stands at 22.
The state today reported conducting 13,663 additional COVID-19 tests for a positive result rate of 12.1%, the lowest positive rate since late March.
