Fifteen Evanston graduates of the first Law and Your Community Program were presented certificates this week by the Evanston Police Department.
The 12-week program, taught by Evanston police officers, was conducted in partnership with the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives.
The curriculum included sessions on law, police interaction, and police procedures.
Participants ranged in age from 11 to 13.
