Two persons were arrested yesterday on assault charges in the 2100 block of Dewey Avenue. This among the stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Assault

2108 Dewey

Kendall J. Barnes, 21, and Elizabeth Ann Cianfrai, 37, of 2108 Dewey Ave., were arrested at that address around 2:30 p.m. yesterday and charged with assault. Because she wielded a firearm, Cianfrai was charged with aggravated assault, police said. They are both due in court on July 22 at 9 a.m.

Battery

101 Asbury

Tamara M. Grant, 24, of 4213 N. Milwaukee Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 101 Asbury Ave. at 4:53 a.m. Saturday and charged with domestic battery.

Burglary

300 Darrow

Cash was taken from an unlocked 2002 Honda and a 2004 BMW in the 300 block of Darrow Avenue bet.ween 10:30 p.m. Wednesday and 8:30 a.m. Saturday.

1600 Pitner

Someone broke a window to access the garage of a home in the 1600 block of Pitner Avenue and stole tools and a bicycle around 2:30 p.m. yesterday.

1700 Sheridan

Food was stolen from a government building in the 1700 block of Sheridan Road between 3 p.m. June 14 and 10 a.m. Friday.

900 Hamlin

An unlocked door provided access for a burglary at a single-family home in the 900 block of Hamlin Street between 9 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. Friday. Items taken included a purse, cell phone, laptop computer, stereo equipment, and a camera.

2000 Grey

Someone forced the rear window to an apartment in the 2000 block of Grey Avenue around the noon hour on Friday and took jewelry, stereo equipment, a laptop computer, and gaming equipment.

300 Custer

A laptop computer was taken from an unlocked 2008 Chevrolet in an apartment parking space in the 300 block of Custer Avenue between midnight and 7:20 a.m. Saturday.

Criminal Damage

1000 Monroe

Someone flattened two tires of a 2012 Ford in the 1000 block of Monroe Street between 9:15 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Saturday.

1500 Pitner

Someone damaged a mirror of a 2014 Hyundai in the 1500 block of Pitner Avenue around 2:55 p.m. Saturday.

Drugs

725 Brummel

Elwin F. Pollard, 41, of 7101 N. Clark St., Chicago, was arrested at 725 Brummel St. at 4:07 a.m. today and charged with possession of cannabis.

Other

1454 Elmwood

Monique Daniel Pompey, 52, of 9055 Lincolnwood Drive, Skokie, was arrested at Evanston police headquarters at 2:47 p.m. Wednesday and charged with violation of an order of protection.

Jackson at Foster

Police checked a report of a man with a gun near Jackson Avenue and Foster Street at 8:27 p.m. Saturday, but found no man with a gun.

Shots Heard

500 Sheridan

Gunshots were reported in the 500 block of Sheridan Road at 12:20 a.m. yesterday. Police checked the area but found nothing.

Theft

800 Seward

A package containing clothing items that was delivered to an apartment common area in the 800 block of Seward  St. was stolen around noon Thursday.

800 Greenleaf

A bicycle was stolen at Nichols Middle School between 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. Friday.

500 Chicago

A desktop computer delivered to an apartment common area in the 500 block of Chicago Avenue was stolen between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Friday.

500 South Blvd.

A package containing hygiene products that was delivered to an apartment common area in the 500 block of South Boulevard was stolen between 1 p.m. and 1:45 p.m. Thursday.

1100 Maple

A bicycle that was locked in an apartment storage area in the 1100 block of Maple Avenue was stolen between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Wednesday.

2300 McDaniel

Jewelry was removed from a night stand at the Three Crowns Retirement Home in the 2300 block of McDaniel Avenue between noon Friday and noon yesterday.

800 Simpson

Cash and a cell phone were taken while unattended at an apartment in the 800 block of Simpson Street around 11 a.m. Saturday.

1700 Maple

Two bicycles locked to bike racks in the 1700 block of Maple Avenue were stolen between 5 p.m. Friday and 10:43 p.m. yesterday.

2100 Green Bay

Cosmetics were stolen from Walgreens Pharmacy in the 2100 block of Green Bay Road around 4:15 p.m. Friday.

1640 Chicago

Madilen Cid, 53, of 5855 Washtenaw Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 1640 Chicago Ave. at 1:32 p.m. Saturday and charged with retail theft. She is due in court on July 8 at 9 a.m.

Moses A. Guiragossian, 56, of 5600 Sheridan Road, was arrested at 1640 Chicago Ave. at 1:32 p.m. Saturday and charged with retail theft. He is due in court on July 8 at 9 a.m.

Mulford at Callan

Derek W. Flowers, 51, of 324 Callan Ave., was arrested at Mulford Street and Callan Avenue at 5:23 p.m. Friday and charged with theft. He is due in court on July 22 at 9 a.m.

2209 Howard

Daniel Salazar, 20, of 4901 N. Christiana Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 2209 Howard St. at 6:34 p.m. yesterday and charged with retail theft. He is due in court on July 22 at 9 a.m.

Traffic

2300 Green Bay

James I. Stoller, 63, of 318 14th St., Wilmette, was arrested at 2300 Green Bay Road at 10:25 p.m. Saturday and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. He is due in court on Aug. 8 at 9 a.m.

An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
