2 bikes, a sign, and a Jeep battery stolen

Two bicycles, a “Black Lives Matter” sign, and a battery from a Jeep are among stolen items listed in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Theft

1900 Sherman

An unsecured bicycle was stolen from an apartment common area in the 1900 block of Sherman Avenue around 10 a.m. yesterday.

2100 Green Bay

An unsecured bicycle on a sidewalk in the 2100 block of Green Bay Road was stolen around 2:17 p.m. yesterday.

1200 Asbury

A “Black Lives Matter” sign was reported stolen from the yard of a home in the 1200 block of Asbury Avenue sometime last week.

1400 Dobson

The battery was stolen from a 1995 Jeep parked on the street in the 1400 block of Dobson Street between 10:30 a.m. yesterday and 6:42 a.m. today.

500 Kedzie

Miscellaneous merchandise that had been delivered to an apartment common area in the 500 block of Kedzie Street was stolen around 3 p.m. yesterday.

Graffiti

800 Davis

Graffiti was discovered at a hair care shop in the 800 block of Davis Street at 12:33 a.m. today.

Traffic

5600 Old Orchard

Zackery T. Miller, 41, of 728 Hinman Ave., was arrested at 5600 Old Orchard Road, Skokie, at 10:36 a.m. yesterday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on Oct. 12 at 9 a.m.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
