Two bicycles were stolen from unlocked garages of homes on Asbury Avenue and Darrow Avenue.  These among the stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Burglary

1000 Asbury

A bicycle was stolen from the unlocked garage of a home in the 1000 block of Asbury Avenue between 4 p.m. Friday and 8:30 a.m. yesterday.

1000 Darrow

A bicycle was stolen from the unlocked garage of a home in the 1000 block of Darrow Avenue around 10:49 p.m. yesterday.

Criminal Damage

900 Main

Giovanni L. Renteria, 27, of 1719 Hartrey Ave., was arrested at 900 Main St. at 10:15 p.m. yesterday. He is due in court on June 20 at 10:30 a.m.

Shots Heard

700 Dobson

Gunshots were reported in the 700 block of Dobson Street around 11 p.m. yesterday. Police checked the area but found nothing.

Theft

900 Church

Clothing items were stolen from a retail establishment in the 900 block of Church Street around 11:35 a.m. yesterday.

Traffic

McCormick at Church

Christin D. Skaggs, 24, of 1941 Darrow Ave., was arrested at McCormick Boulevard and Church Street at 3:45 a.m. today and charged with a traffic violation. A court date has been set for July 12 at 10:30 a.m.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
