Cars were hijacked on Brummel Street and Darrow Avenue and a hijacking was attempted on Emerson Street. These among stories in Monday’s daily crime report from Evanston police.

ROBBERY
1300 Brummel
A 2013 Ford Focus was hijacked in the 1300 block of Brummel Street around midnight Saturday when the victim was threatened with a gun and forced to turn over his vehicle. The car was later recovered.

1100 Darrow
A 2015 Toyota Corolla was hijacked in the 1100 block of Darrow Avenue at 12:36 a.m. today. The robber threatened the victim with a gun and demanded his keys and phone.

Emerson at Green Bay
A subject threatened the driver of a 2016 Toyota with a gun and demanded his vehicle. The victim fled in his own car.

THEFT
700 Chicago
A 2022 Honda Odyssey that was left running in the 700 block of Chicago Avenue was stolen at 3:40 p.m. Saturday.

700 Church
A 2016 Chevrolet Trax that was left running in the 700 block of Church Street was stolen shortly before 7 p.m. Sunday.

1600 Sherman
Someone stole some baby formula from the Target store in the 1600 block of Sherman Avenue at about 9 p.m. Friday.

2100 Green Bay
Grooming items were taken from the Walgreens Pharmacy in the 2100 block of Green Bay Road around 12:35 p.m. Friday.

100 Asbury
Hygiene products were taken from the CVS Pharmacy in the 100 block of Asbury Avenue shortly before 10 p.m. Sunday.

400 Ridge
Packages were taken from a home in the 400 block of Ridge Avenue between 10 a.m. and 7:09 p.m. Friday.

ASSAULT
809 Main
Luis G. Cruz, 40, address unknown, was arrested at 809 Main St. at 5:11 p.m. Thursday and charged with aggravated criminal sexual assault.

BATTERY
901 Noyes
Abdiaziz Y. Mohamed, 49, of 1555 W. Hollywood Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 901 Noyes St.. at 8 a.m. on Jan. 25 and charged with battery.

BURGLARY
1500 Sherman
Someone forced their way into a restaurant in the 1500 block of Sherman Avenue at about 5:20 p.m. Friday and stole some cash.

1700 Sherman
Cash was taken from an unlocked 2013 Honda in the 1700 block of Sherman Avenue around 10:30 a.m. Saturday.

2100 Emerson
Someone forced their way into a residence in the 2100 block of Emerson Street and stole some electronics between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. Friday.

TRAFFIC
1132 Pitner
Denovte D. Fox, 29, of 2650 W. Greenleaf Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 1132 Pitner Ave. at 11:33 p.m. Friday and charged with a traffic violation.

Dempster at Pitner
Jenell M. Land, 45, of 1557 W. Irving Park Road, Itasca, was arrested at Dempster Street and Pitner Avenue at 3:42 p.m. Friday and charged with a traffic violation.
