2 cars targets of criminal damage

Someone broke a mirror on a 2015 Jeep and damaged a lock on a 2016 Fiat. These among the stories in today’s crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Criminal Damage

Asbury at Cleveland

A mirror was broken on a 2016 Jeep at Asbury Avenue and Cleveland Street around 3:45 p.m. yesterday.

1000 Grove

A lock was damaged on a 2016 Fiat in a business parking lot in the 1000 block of Grove Street between 11:45 a.m. and 1:35 p.m. yesterday.

Theft

2400 Main

Some drugs were stolen from a grocery store in the 2400 block of Main Street at 6:62 a.m. on July 18.

Miscellaneous merchandise was taken from a grocery store in the 2400 block of Main Street at 9:47 a.m. yesterday.

 2450 Main

Brittany K. Murphy, 22, of 7710 N. Marshfield Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 2450 Main St. at 2:15 p.m. yesterday and charged with retail theft. She is due in court on Aug. 9 at 9 a.m.

Traffic

1100 Ridge

Meagan M. Allen, 26, of 1521 Sherwin Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 1100 Ridge Ave. at 9:39 a.m. yesterday and charged with a traffic violation. She is due in court on Aug. 19 at 10:30 a.m.

1020 Cleveland

Raul Miranda, 55, of 1213 Cleveland St., was arrested at 1020 Cleveland St. at 11:20 a.m. yesterday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on Sept. 3 at 10:30 a.m.

An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
