Two vehicles in the same area of South Evanston lost their catalytic converters to thieves Wednesday night. These are among the stories in today’s crime bulletin from Evanston police.
THEFT
200 Brown
The catalytic converter in a 2009 Toyota, parked in the 200 block of Brown Avenue, was stolen between 5 p.m. Wednesday and 2:30 p.m. yesterday.
200 Richmond
The catalytic converter in a 2006 Honda, parked in the 200 block of Richmond Avenue, was stolen around 1 a.m. yesterday.
600 Chicago
Alcoholic products were stolen from Walgreens Pharmacy in the 600 block of Chicago Avenue around 8:40 p.m. Wednesday.
800 Simpson
A secured bicycle was taken from the yard of a home in the 800 block of Simpson Street between 6:30 p.m. Tuesday and 1 p.m. Wednesday.
700 Mulford
A package containing miscellaneous merchandise that had been delivered to an apartment common area in the 700 block of Mulford Street was stolen around 3:30 p.m. yesterday.
BATTERY
9449 Skokie
Andre J. Mhoon, 26, of 2110 Dewey Ave., was arrested at 9449 N. Skokie Blvd. at 6:50 p.m. Wednesday and charged with domestic battery. He is due in court on Oct. 28 at 9:30 a.m.
BURGLARY
2400 Main
A burglar broke the window of a 2008 Nissan in a business parking lot in the 2400 block of Main Street between 3:15 p.m. and 5:09 p.m. Wednesday and stole a purse.
2700 Central
Cash was taken from an apartment in the 2700 block of Central Street between July 9 and 11 a.m. Wednesday.
GRAFFITI
Elmwood at Grove
Graffiti was discovered on the street at Elmwood Avenue and Grove Street at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Emerson at Green Bay
Graffiti was discovered on the street at Emerson Street and Green Bay Road at 12:52 p.m. yesterday.
Ridge at Emerson
Graffiti was discovered on the street at Ridge Avenue and Emerson Street at 12:52 p.m. yesterday.
OTHER
1454 Elmwood
Sasa Sinanagic, 46, of 3939 Brummel St., Skokie, was arrested at Evanston police headquarters at 1:35 p.m. yesterday and charged with criminal sexual attack.
TRAFFIC
1410 Juneway
Sebastian Carlos Galan, 23, of 3310 C Lane, Elkhart, IN, was arrested at 1410 W, Juneway Terr., Chicago, at 6:46 p.m. Tuesday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on Nov. 16 at 1:30 p.m.
