CRIMINAL DAMAGE
600 Lake
Three windows, one of them stained glass, were broken for no apparent reason at Lake Street Church of Evanston, in the 600 block of Lake Street, around 6 a.m. Tuesday.
2500 Central Park
Someone damaged a flag pole and made off with a flag honoring the LGBTQ community at the Northminster Presbyterian Church of Evanston between 7:47 p.m. Saturday and 10:32 a.m. Tuesday.
ASSAULT
1900 Jackson
A subject threatened a victim with a long sword at about 3 p.m. Monday. The victim suffered a cut on his hand as he tried to wrest the sword from the subject, but turned down medical treatment for the wound.
BATTERY
2043 Asbury
Angel Flores-Najera, 56, was arrested at 2043 Asbury Ave. at 9:12 p.m. Wednesday and charged with battery.
BURGLARY
1200 Chicago
A burglar forced entry to a 2006 BMW by damaging the rear windshield in a parking garage in the 1200 block of Chicago Avenue between 4 p.m. Tuesday and 12:30 p.m. Wednesday. Missing items included cash and documents..
2600 Ewing
Keys were taken from a 2020 Jeep in a parking lot in the 2600 block of Ewing Avenue between 8 p.m. Sunday and 7:40 a.m. Tuesday.
700 Howard
Entry to a laundromat in the 700 block of Howard Street was accomplished by breaking the front windows around 5:30 a.m. Monday. Nothing was reported missing.
1600 Chicago
Someone forced entry to a 2017 BMW in a parking garage in the 1600 block of Chicago Avenue by damaging the rear windshield between 9 p.m. Tuesday and 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.
2400 McDaniel
An unsuccessful attempt to gain entry to a 2017 Volkswagen in an alley in the 2400 block of McDaniel Avenue took place around 2 p.m. Tuesday.
ROBBERY
Nathaniel Place at McDaniel
A postal worker was robbed of keys near Nathaniel Place and McDaniel Avenue around noon on Tuesday.
THEFT
1300 Dobson
A gray 2013 Honda Accord was stolen from the 1300 block of Dobson Street between 9 a.m. on Sept. 19 and 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
2800 Park
A gray 2012 Honda Odyssey van was stolen from the 2800 block of Park Place between 7 p.m. Monday and 1:45 a.m. Tuesday.
2400 Lincoln
A blue 2013 Audi was stolen from an alley in the 2400 block of Lincoln Street around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.
500 Sheridan
A catalytic converter was removed from a 2015 Toyota in the 500 block of Sheridan Road around 5 p.m. Saturday.
1800 Main
A Trek Marlin 5 bicycle secured to a bike rack in the 1800 block of Main Street was stolen between 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Monday.
1900 Ridge
Delivered packages were taken from a residence in the 1900 block of Ridge Avenue between 2:12 a.m. and 2:41 p.m. Monday.
