Theft
1600 Sherman
A purse left unattended at a medical office in the 1600 block of Sherman Avenue was stolen around 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
1900 Dempster
A purse left unattended at the Valli Produce store in the 1900 block of Dempster Street was stolen at about 3 p.m. Tuesday.
1300 Central
A silver 2004 Toyota Corolla was stolen from an apartment parking space in the 1300 block of Central Street between 7 p.m. Monday and 7 a.m. Tuesday.
1600 Benson
A bicycle secured to a bike rack in the 1600 block of Benson Avenue was stolen between 7 p.m. Tuesday and midnight yesterday.
1900 Sherman
An unsecured bicycle was stolen from an apartment common area in the 1900 block of Sherman Avenue between 2 p.m. and 11 p.m. on July 28.
100 Asbury
Miscellaneous merchandise was taken from the CVS Pharmacy in the 100 block of Asbury Avenue around 3 p.m. yesterday.
Battery
1809 Lyons
Glenford Salgado Morales, 43, of 1809 Lyons St., was arrested at that address at 8:15 a.m. yesterday and charged with domestic battery. He is due in court on Aug. 21 at 9:30 a.m.
1710 Monroe
Brandon A. Wright, 31, of 1710 Monroe St., was arrested at that address at 11:21 a.m. Tuesday and charged with domestic battery.
Burglary
2600 Eastwood
Cash was taken from an unlocked vehicle in the 2600 block of Eastwood Avenue between midnight and 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.
800 Noyes
A burglar cut a window screen to access an apartment in the 800 block of Noyes Street between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. Monday. A camera was discovered missing.
1200 Mulford
A laptop computer was taken from a home with an unlocked window in the 1200 block of Mulford Street between 2 p.m. and 11:35 p.m. Tuesday.
400 Sheridan
Alcoholic products and clothing were taken from a condominium in the 400 block of Sheridan Road between 10 a.m. Monday and 10:45 p.m.yesterday by a burglar who entered through a kitchen window.
Criminal Trespass
1128 Chicago
Oliver L. Gregory, 37, of 2715 W. Harrison St., Chicago, was arrested at 1128 Chicago Ave. at 9:27 p.m. Tuesday and charged with trespass to a residence. He is due in court on Aug. 29 at 9 a.m.
Graffiti
1000 Davis
Graffiti was discovered on the sidewalk in the 1000 block of Davis Street at 9:01 a.m. Tuesday.
1700 Sherman
Graffiti was discovered on a dumpster in the 1700 block of Sherman Avenue at 9 a.m. Tuesday.
Traffic
1425 Howard
Seraphin C. Walker, 27, of 1704 W. Juneway Terrace, Chicago, was arrested at 1425 Howard St. at 4:59 p.m. yesterday and charged with driving under the influence. He is due in court on Aug. 29 at 10:30 a.m.
An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
