Bicycles on Davis Street, Sheridan Road, and Ridge Avenue have been stolen in Evanston since Friday, according to stories in today’s crime bulletin from Evanston police.

THEFTS

900 Davis

A light blue Schwinn bicycle secured to a bike rack in the 900 block of Davis Street was stolen around 11 p.m. Saturday.

1800 Sheridan

A gray and blue Trek bicycle secured to a bike rack was stolen in the 1800 block of Sheridan Road around 9 p.m. Sunday.

2300 Ridge

A yellow bicycle was taken from the yard of a home in the 2300 block of Ridge Avenue around 1:30 p.m. yesterday.

700 Chicago

A thief gained entry to a restaurant in the 700 block of Chicago Avenue and took cash from a safe between 6:30 p.m. Sunday and 2 p.m. yesterday.

1400 Hartrey

A silver 2021 Nissan Altima was taken without the owner’s permission between 3 a.m. Saturday and 5 p.m. Sunday, but it was recovered later.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE

200 Grey

Tires were found slashed on a 2006 Dodge in the 200 block of Grey Avenue at 12:20 p.m. yesterday.

GRAFFITI

Lake at Florence

Graffiti was discovered on a light pole at Lake Street and Florence Avenue at 10:13 a.m. yesterday.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute an assumption of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Court in Skokie.
