Three divers and five swimmers from Evanston Township High School have earned All-American recognition following a record-setting season for the boys and girls programs.
The National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association (NISCA) has recognized divers Lucy Hogan, Harel Anolick and Trevor Nelson along with swimmers Paige Haden, Ana Woods, Iana Wolff, Honore Collins and Mary Claire D’Arrigo for their performances during their respective high school seasons.
Hogan placed 2nd at the Illinois High School Association state diving finals and became only the second female diver in ETHS history to earn a state medal. She set a school record with 522.10 points for 11 dives at the sectional qualifying meet.
On the boys side, Anolick set a school record as a sophomore with 539.45 points and freshman Nelson also broke the 500-point plateau with a season-best effort of 515.40.
D’Arrigo, a junior, teamed with seniors Woods, Wolff and Collins for a school mark in the 200-yard freestyle relay of 1 minute, 36.20 seconds. The team of Haden, Woods, Wolff and Collins also ranked among the best teams in the country in the 200-yard medley relay with a best time of 1:44.54.
