Graffiti was discovered on three garages in the 1800 block of Wesley Avenue around 8:30 p.m. yesterday.
Burglary
1500 Hinman
An unlocked vehicle in the 1500 block of Hinman Avenue was visited by burglars between 10 a.m. Friday and 10 a.m. yesterday.
Theft
2200 Howard
A shoplifter stole an appliance from a store in the 2200 block of Howard Street around 3:24 p.m. yesterday.
1600 Sherman
A television receiver was stolen from a store in the 1600 block of Sherman Avenue around 6:30 p.m. yesterday.
1000 Grove
A cell phone was removed from a backpack at the McGaw YMCA between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. Monday.
1454 Elmwood
Mansfield Lavon Wallace, 48, of 605 Case Place, was arrested at Evanston police headquarters at 7:51 p.m. yesterday and charged with retail theft. He is due in court on March 6 at 9 a.m.
Traffic
900 Dodge
Mirjeta Susie Resulova, 20, of 2201 Ridge Ave., was arrested at 900 Dodge Ave. at 5:36 p.m. yesterday and charged with a traffic violation. She is due in court on March 10 at 10:30 a.m.
