Two Hondas and two Hyundais were victims of catalytic converter thieves last week. These among the stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.
A 2010 Hyundai and a 2012 Hyundai in the 2300 block of Prospect Avenue and a 2003 Honda and a 2005 Honda in the vicinity of Walnut Avenue and Park Place lost their catalytic converters to thieves Wednesday night.
A gate arm at the municipal parking lot in the 800 block of Davis Street was stolen around 1:10 p.m. Saturday.
1200 Lake Shore
Watercraft was stolen from a boat launch at the beach in the 1200 block of Lake Shore Boulevard between July 31 and noon on Friday.
An unsecured bicycle was stolen from the 1100 block of Chicago Avenue between 5:45 p.m. and 6:17 p.m. Friday.
Merchandise was stolen from a store in the 1900 block of Dempster Street around 10:06 a.m. yesterday.
A bicycle part was stolen from an alley in the 2300 block of Church Street between 5 p.m. and 9:45 p.m. Friday.
Cosmetics were stolen from the CVS Pharmacy in the 100 block of Asbury Avenue around 2:08 p.m. Friday.
Laronn B. Fields, 51, of 6800 S. Normal Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 2485 Howard St. at 10:38 p.m. Saturday and charged with retail theft.
Jacek Sejda, 37, of 3305 N. Lockwood Ave., Chicago, and Stephen B. Sullivan, 58, of 5207 W. Henderson St., Chicago, were arrested at 2901 Howard St. at 3:30 p.m. Saturday and charged with retail theft. A court date has been set for Nov. 15 at 9 a.m.
Keith D. Wint, 41, of 7531 N. Hoyne Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 2059 Howard St. at 1:16 p.m. Saturday and charged with battery. He is due in court on Nov. 20 at 9 a.m.
Someone hit victims with a bat on the sidewalk in the 500 block of Howard Street at 10:56 a.m. Friday.
Sanjay Jason Ellis, 28, of 329 Custer Ave., was arrested at 621 Hull Terrace at 4:45 p.m. yesterday and charged with domestic battery. He is due in court on Oct. 18 at 9:30 a.m.
Sadat Ali Mohammed, 37, of 9016 Lamon Ave., Skokie, was arrested at 331 Howard St. at 11:36 a.m. Friday and charged with battery. He is due in court on Oct. 31 at 9 a.m.
Several items were taken from the unlocked garage of a home in the 1000 block of Judson Avenue between 10 p.m. Friday and 10 p.m. Saturday.
A bicycle was taken from an unlocked garage of a home in the 1000 block of Dobson Street between 10 p.m. Thursday and 6:30 a.m. Friday.
Patrick J. Gordon, 52, of 1458 Chicago Ave., was arrested at 1236 Chicago Ave. at 10:45 a.m. Friday and charged with criminal trespass of a residence. He is due in court on Nov. 22 at 10:30 a.m.
Graffiti was discovered on the sidewalk in the 2100 block of Orrington Avenue at 4:21 p.m. Friday.
Gunshots were reported in the 2000 block of Howard Street at 5:10 p.m. Friday. Police checked the area but found nothing.
Juan C Casiano, 39, of 2125 Howard St., was arrested at 2101 Howard St. at 3:24 a.m. Saturday and charged with driving under the influence. He is due in court on Nov. 20 at 9 a.m.
Shauntaye D. Clark, 38, of 159 N. Marion St., Oak Park, was arrested at 3123 Central St. at 6:45 p.m. Saturday and charged with a traffic violation.
Fowler at Lake
Luis E. Dietz, 42, of 435 Ridge Road, Wilmette, was arrested at Fowler Avenue and Lake Street at 11:56 p.m. Saturday and charged with driving under the influence. He is due in court on Nov. 22 at 9 a.m.
Guadalupe Escamilla-Sous, 23, of 1932 Dodge Ave., was arrested at 1235 Leon Place, at 1:16 a.m. today and charged with driving under the influence. He is due in court on Nov. 20 at 9 a.m.
Jose C. Patino, 51, of 2211 N. Latrobe Ave., was arrested at 819 Greenleaf St. at 4:02 p.m. Friday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on Nov. 9 at 9 a.m.
Lake at Wesley
Charles Scott, 50, of 2412 Nathaniel Place, was arrested at Lake Street and Wesley Avenue. at 8:49 p.m. Friday and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. He is due in court on Nov. 7 at 9 a.m.
Herman Townsell, 50, of 9295 S. Burnside Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 101 Ridge Ave. at 3:12 a.m. yesterday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on Nov. 2 at 9 a.m.
Alejandro J. Vazquez, 27, of 6008 S. Melvina Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 700 Lincoln St. at 7:20 a.m. Thursday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on Oct. 26 at 1 p.m.
