Thefts of purses and wallets were reported from four secured lockers at L A Fitness, in the 1600 block of Sherman Avenue, between 1:18 p.m. and 1:40 p.m. Tuesday.
Tobacco products and other merchandise was taken from a 1998 Lexus in the 1100 block of Dewey Avenue between 7:30 p.m. Tuesday and 7:45 a.m. yesterday.
A laptop computer was among items stolen from an unlocked 2013 Ford in the 3400 block of Park Place around 9 p.m. yesterday.
A laptop computer and an iPhone were among items taken from a home in the 2100 block of Maple Avenue after a burglar accessed the home via an unlocked bedroom window between 6:50 p.m. and 8:55 p.m. Tuesday.
Someone forced open the rear door of a restaurant in the 1700 block of Benson Avenue between 11 p.m. Tuesday and 10:30 a.m. yesterday. Nothing was reported taken.
Someone damaged a 2016 Volkswagen by kicking the driver side door in a business parking lot in the 1100 block of Chicago Avenue around 9:30 p.m. yesterday.
Larry M. Shearer, 57, of 4100 Perimeter Center Drive, Oklahoma City, Okla., was arrested at 991 Foster St. at 1:05 p.m. yesterday and charged with trespassing on real property. He is due in court on Dec. 11 at 10:30 a.m.
Kenneth A. Battinus, 41, of 902 W. Greenwood St., was arrested at 1400 Chicago Ave. at 9:54 p.m. Sunday and charged with criminal sexual assault.
9550 Central Park
Carrie D. Andalman. 49, of 1218 Asbury Ave., was arrested at 9550 Central Park Ave. , Skokie, at 7:24 p.m. Tuesday and charged with driving under the influence. She is due in court on Dec. 18 at 10:30 a.m.
Update: The charge against Andalman was dismissed on April 10, 2019.
Howard at Seeley
Dominique M. Chaney, 26, of 1213 Cleveland St., was arrested at Howard Street and Seeley Avenue at 12:15 a.m. today and charged with driving under the influence. She is due in court on Jan. 8 at 9 a.m.
Darion D. Smith, 23, of 7536 Winchester Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 230 Custer Ave. at 6:21 p.m. Tuesday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on Dec. 18 at 9 a.m.
