Four persons driving a stolen Toyota from Chicago were arrested in north Evanston after an early-morning pursuit earlier this week, Evanston police reported.

Perry Polinski, communications coordinator of the Evanston Police Department, said the four were driving north on Ridge Avenue at about 1 a.m. Tuesday, when they were spotted at Central Street. The officers ran a report on the license plate and found that the vehicle they were driving had been stolen earlier in Chicago, he said.

The vehicle fled east on Central, hit a curb at Sheridan Road as it turned north, and the driver lost control when they reached Ingleside Place, Polinski said.

At that point, he said, the occupants fled on foot and were apprehended. A search of the vehicle yielded a handgun and drugs, Polinski added.

Multiple charges were filed against the four, including the driver, Maritza I. Antunez, 19, of 4453 W. Wrightwood; Daniel Angel Falcon, 18, of 2852 N. Kenneth; Melissa Patino-Morales, 18, of 2131 N. Latrobe; and Jose L Roman, 24, of 3525 W. Diversey, all of Chicago, according to Polinski.
