Between 2 and 3 a.m. yesterday, four Evanston stores were entered by breaking door glass in a forced entry. Police are assuming all four were struck by the same crew of burglars, as Skokie police reported a similar experience in that adjoining suburb. BURGLARY

500 Dodge

A Shell service station in the 500 block of Dodge Avenue was forcibly entered by breaking a glass door at 2:26 a.m. yesterday.

800 Noyes

D&D Finer Foods in the 800 block of Noyes Street was a victim of forced entry by breaking door glass at about 2:36 a.m. Cash was taken from an automated teller machine.

1000 Davis

Evanston 1st Liquors, in the 1000 block of Davis Street, was entered forcibly by breaking door glass at about 2:46 a.m. yesterday.

2200 Green Bay

Suds Car Wash, in the 2200 block of Green Bay Road, was entered forcibly by breaking door glass at about 2:40 a.m. yesterday. Cash was taken from an automated teller machine, as well as the firm’s cash register.

DRUGS

1735 Chicago

John B. Davis, 32, of 8411 S. Luella Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 1735 Chicago Ave. at 5:11 a.m. Saturday and charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.

ROBBERY

423 South Boulevard

Antoine Maurice Gentry, 38, address unknown, was arrested at 423 South Boulevard at 9:37 a.m. Monday and charged with robbery.

SHOTS HEARD

Grey at Foster

Gunshots were reported in the vicinity of Grey Avenue and Foster Street between 1:15 and 1:30 a.m. Wednesday. Police checked the area but found nothing.

THEFT

Asbury at Cleveland

A subject came up from behind and stole a victim’s purse near Asbury Avenue and Cleveland Street at about 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

1400 Brummel

A package was stolen from a common area of an apartment building in the 1400 block of Brummel Street between 1:07 p.m. and 2:25 p.m. Wednesday.

2000 Orrington

A package was stolen from a home in the 2000 block of Orrington Avenue around 1 p.m. on Feb. 25.

2200 Ridge

A blue Raleigh bicycle was taken from an apartment storage area in the 2200 block of Ridge Avenue just before 1 p.m. Wednesday.

2100 Ashland

Someone took the Mercedes logo from a 2005 Mercedes in the 2100 block of Ashland Avenue between 6 p.m. Tuesday and 4 p.m. Wednesday.

100 Asbury

Medication was taken from the CVS Pharmacy in the 100 block of Asbury Avenue at about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

TRAFFIC

1501 Central

Michael Charles Paque, 78, of 2045 W. Morse Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 1501 Central St. at 8:58 p.m. Thursday and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. He is due in court on March 23 at 10:30 a.m.
