Tools, a purse, cash, and glasses were among items found by burglars in unlocked vehicles. These among stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Burglary

2200 Oakton

Tools were taken from an unlocked 2008 GMC vehicle in a business parking lot in the 2200 block of Oakton Street around 3 p.m. yesterday.

2600 Sheridan

Glasses were taken from an unlocked 2012 Honda in an alley in the 2600 block of Sheridan Road between 2 p.m. Thursday and 1:55 p.m. Friday.

2300 Bryant

Cash was taken from an unlocked 2016 Infiniti and an unlocked 2001Toyota in the 2300 block of Bryant Avenue between 6:30 p.m. Friday and 9:20 a.m. yesterday.

1100 Forest

The door frame was damaged at a home in the 1100 block of Forest Avenue between 5 p.m. Friday and 8:30 a.m. Saturday in a burglary attempt. Nothing was reported taken.

Drugs

2410 Main

Sashko Petkovski, 36, of 8030 Keating, Skokie, was arrested at 2410 Main St. at 1:47 a.m. today and charged with possession of meth.

Graffiti

Sheridan at Arnold

Graffiti was found on the sidewalk at Sheridan Road and Arnold Place at 8:43 a.m. Saturday.

Theft

800 Davis

Cash and a purse, left unattended in an office building in the 800 block of Davis Street, were stolen around 2:30 p.m. Friday.

1100 Chicago

Alcoholic products were taken from a grocery store in the 1100 block of Chicago Avenue around 10:30 p.m. Friday.

700 Church

A wallet was removed from a purse at a restaurant in the 700 block of Church Street around 12:30 p.m. Saturday.

2400 Prairie

A tablet computer left unattended on a playground in the 2400 block of Prairie Avenue was stolen at about 3:30 p.m. Friday.

1600 Sherman

A gaming system was taken from a store in the 1600 block of Sherman Avenue around 1 p.m. Friday.

1700 Brown

A package of merchndise delivered to a home in the 1700 block of Brown Avenue was stolen between 1:44 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Friday.

1800 Darrow

A delivered package containing clothing items was stolen from a home in the 1800 block of Darrow Avenue between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. Friday.

100 Asbury

Miscellaneous merchandise was taken from the CVS Pharmacy in the 100 block of Asbury Avenue around 4:30 p.m. Saturday.

2209 Howard

Gerald W. Johnson, 50, of 2046 Darrow Ave., was arrested at 2209 Howard St. at 9:02 p.m. Saturday and charged with retail theft. He is due in court on Jan. 8 at 10:30 a.m.

Candice K. Shandor, 31, of 2628 W. Argyle Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 2209 Howard St. at 5:35 p.m. yesterday and charged with retail theft.

1640 Chicago

Wojciech Stanek, 50, of 1420 Walnut Road,Des Plaines, was arrested at 1640 Chicago Ave. at 6:26 p.m. Friday and charged with retail theft. She is due in court on Jan. 23 at 10:30 a.m.

Traffic

Grove at Elmwood

Jairo Mancera, 21, of 821 Dobson St., was arrested at Grove Street and Elmwood Avenue at 9:47 p.m. on Dec. 6. and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on Jan. 10 at 10:30 a.m.

Howard at Barton

Alicia R. Reyes Hernandez, 51, of 7737 N. Marshfield Ave., Chicago, was arrested at Howard Street and Barton Avenue at 12:43 p.m. Tuesday and charged with a traffic violation. She is due in court on Jan. 17 at 10:30 a.m.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
