600 Case

A case of arson caused by a rag in the gas tank of a 2003 Mitsubishi was reported around 5 a.m. Saturday in the 600 block of Case Plaza.

Battery

2020 Asbury

Donterrio Antwa Pleasant, 27, of 6253 S. Michigan Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 2020 Asbury Ave. at 1:46 p.m. Saturday and charged with domestic battery. A court date has been set for July 27 at 9:30 a.m.

1015 Howard

Gerold D. Russell, 29, of 7547 N. Ridge Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 1015 Howard St. at 6:23 p.m. Friday and charged with battery. He is due in court on Aug. 3 at 1:30 p.m.

1830 Dempster

Sedgwick L. Hughes, 30, of 1243 S. Lawndale Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 1830 Dempster St. at 6:05 p.m. Wednesday and charged with aggravated battery. He is due in court on July 28 at 10:30 a.m.

Burglary

1632 Darrow

Jimmie Lee Henley, Jr., 47, of 2425 222nd Place, Sauk Village, was arrested at 1632 Darrow Ave. at 12:15 a.m. Thursday and charged with residential burglary. He is due in court on July 28 at 10:30 a.m.

700 Judson

A window was broken on a 2015 Mazda in an alley in the 700 block of Judson Avenue and cash was stolen between 6 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Friday.

Criminal Damage

1655 Foster

Sean A. Lyle, 30, of 10111 Old Orchard Court, Skokie, was arrested at 1655 Foster Ave. at 11:24 a.m. yesterday and charged with criminal damage to property. He is due in court on Aug. 17 at 9 a.m.

Graffiti

700 Main

Graffiti was found at a jewelry store in the 700 block of Main Street at 8:37 a.m. yesterday.

1423 Brown

Terrell Davis, 25, of 9301 Bennett Ave., Skokie, was arrested at 1423 Brown Ave. at 8:48 p.m. Saturday and charged with obstructing justice. He is due in court on Aug. 24 at 9 a.m.

300 Dodge

Felix Perez, 24, of 4850 N. Ridgeway, Chicago, was arrested at 300 Dodge Ave. at 10:30 p.m. Saturday and charged with possession of fireworks. He is due in court on Aug. 12 at 9 a.m.

Shots Heard

1600 Monroe

Gunshots were reported in the 1600 block of Monroe Street at 11:47 p.m. Saturday. Police checked the area but found nothing.

Richmond at Brummel

Gunshots were reported near Richmond Avenue and Brummel Street at 3.24 a.m. yesterday. Police checked the area but found nothing.

Harrison at Crawford

Gunshots were reported near Harrison Street and Crawford Avenue at about 3 a.m. Saturday. Police checked the area but found nothing.

1800 Hovland

Gunshots were reported in the 1800 block of Hovland Court at 10:46 p.m. Friday. Police checked the area but found nothing.

300 Custer

Gunshots were reported in the 300 block of Custer Avenue at 4:43 a.m. yesterday. Police checked the area but found nothing.

Theft

900 Judson

A Smith & Wesson .45 caliber single action handgun with two magazines was stolen from an apartment in the 900 block of Judson Avenue at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. Suspect is a 5-foot-10-inch-tall black male weighing 180 pounds.

1100 Chicago

Several packs of meat were stolen from the Jewel Food Store in the 1100 block of Chicago Avenue at about 12:30 p.m. Friday.

1100 Sheridan

A cell phone in a pink case was stolen from a vehicle in the 1100 block of Sheridan Road around 4 a.m. yesterday.

100 Asbury

Cosmetics were stolen from the CVS Pharmacy in the 100 block of Asbury Avenue at 3:20 p.m. Friday.

1128 Chicago

Robert Nicholas Saenz, 41, of 901 Maple Ave., was arrested at 1128 Chicago Ave. at 4:52 p.m. Thursday and charged with retail theft.

Traffic

300 Dodge

Raul Garcia-Bucio, 32, of 5662 N. Estes, Chicago, was arrested at 300 Dodge Ave. at 10:18 p.m. Saturday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on Aug. 31 at 10:30 a.m.

100 Chicago

Jose A. Ferrer-Guadian, 32, of 6905 N . Ashland Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 100 Chicago Ave. at 11:25 p.m. Thursday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on Aug. 5 at 9 a.m.

7500 Western

Norman Weston, 2d, 68, of 2420 W. Lunt, was arrested at 7500 N. Western Ave.., Chicago, at 8:13 p.m. Saturday and charged with driving under the influence. He is due in court on Aug. 31 at 10:30 a.m.
