Even though the last day of school in Evanston/Skokie District 65 schools has been extended until Tuesday, June 10, eighth grade graduation will proceed as scheduled on June 4 and 5.
One of the reasons district officials gave for using Casimir Pulaski Day on March 3 as one of the makeup days for the weather-related emergency closings this winter, was to give those eighth graders one more school day before graduation.
All but one of the schools will graduate on Wednesday, June 4, while Haven Middle School will graduate the following day.
Here’s the schedule:
For Wednesday June 4, students will graduate from Park School at 10 a.m., Rice Children’s Center at 1 p.m., King Arts Magnet School at 4 p.m., Nichols Middle School at 5 p.m., Dr. Bessie Rhodes Magnet School at 6 p.m., and Chute Middle School at 7 p.m.
On Thursday, June 5, Haven Middle School graduation will take place at 5 p.m.
