A dozen people have reported that documents were stolen from the common area of their apartment buildings in southeast Evanston.
The thefts were all reported Friday morning. Most were in the 500 block of Michigan Avenue, but the 800 block of Hinman Avenue and 500 block of Sheridan Road were also targeted.
Also in Monday’s crime bulletin, two men were charged Sunday with domestic battery in separate incidents.
