Andrew L. McHaney, 24, of 6240 S. Vernon, Chicago, was arrested at 1723 Simpson St. at 9:13 p.m. Tuesday and charged with aggravated battery. He is due in court on March 29 at 10:30 a.m.
Elvis H. Perez, 37, of 6240 N. Bell, Chicago, was arrested at 355 Ridge Ave. at 5:43 p.m. yesterday and charged with simple battery. He is due in court on April 21 at 10:30 a.m.
A damaged rear driver side door and driver side window was the result of an attempted burglary of a 2004 Volvo in the 1100 block of Chicago Avenue between 7:30 a.m. Wednesday and 7:53 p.m. yesterday.
A folder containing vehicle documents was taken from an unlocked 2008 Honda in the 2700 block of Girard Avenue between 4 p.m. Monday and 2:25 p.m. yesterday.
Kirk at Florence
Stephen W. Kee, 18, of 2801 W. 82nd St., Chicago, was arrested at Kirk Street and Florence Avenue at 2 a.m. yesterday and charged with criminal trespass of a vehicle. He is due in court on April 19 at 1:30 p.m.
Dorrelle Demetrius Sykes, 30, of 1458 Chicago Ave., was arrested at 803 Clark St. at 8:45 p.m. Tuesday and charged with failure to register as a sex offender. He is due in court on April 4 at 9 a.m.
The rear license plate on a 1999 Saturn in an apartment parking lot in the 1500 block of Hinman Avenue was taken around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Susan Hatfield Koch, 62, of 226 Laurel, Wilmette, was arrested at 2748 Green Bay Road at 3:21 p.m. yesterday and charged with retail theft. She is due in court on April 14 at 10:30 a.m.
Marios Smailis, 23, of 1028 Emerson St., was arrested at 1100 Emerson St. at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on May 27 at 1:30 p.m.
