Evanston aldermen ran out of time Monday to start a scheduled review of the proposed 49-story tower project on the Fountain Square block.

And, after concluding they’d still be squeezed by budget issues at their next meeting later this month, they voted to postpone the tower debate until the Planning and Development Committee meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, March 10.

They also scheduled a special Planning and Development meeting for 6:30 p.m. on Monday, March 17, to continue the discussion.

Any mention what year this meeting will take place?—decade?—century?…more wasted time—wasted money—wasted words—just plain wasted
