[VIDEO] An alternative medicine center in Evanston will be celebrating its 10th anniversary next month.


Heartwood Center for Body Mind Spirit, 1599 Maple Ave., which opened in August of 1999, offers a variety of unconventional therapies. Some therapies, like Yoga, are more mainstream and are sometimes recommended by physicians. Others, like acupuncture, homeopathy and energy healing, are met with more skepticism from the scientific community.
