Evanston public works crews are on alert for a weather system that may drop a little snow on us this evening.

Edgar Cano of the city’s Public Works Agency says we could see flurries this afternoon and then slightly heavier snowfall between 5 and 10 p.m. with accumulations ranging from a dusting to perhaps 0.4 inches.

Cano says the city’s day shift is preparing for the storm now and the night crew is on alert for a possible early start.
