City plows were able to clear about half of all snow routes overnight, so to plow remaining areas to the curb, Evanston officials have declared a Snow Route Parking Ban again for tonight.
That prohibits parking on main thoroughfares marked snow routes from 11 p.m. tonight until 6 a.m. Wednesday.
Emergency sirens will sound at 8:15 p.m. tonight to remind residents of the Snow Route Parking Ban.
Daytime snow emergency parking restrictions on side streets will remain in effect today and Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Don’t park on the side of the street with even-numbered addresses today. And don’t park on the odd-numbered side Wednesday.
.
Most streets with parking on one side only now have permanent “ODD date” or “EVEN date” signs that allow them to be plowed during Snow Emergencies. Please follow the posted signage.
Emergency sirens will sound at 7:15 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. on Snow Emergency days.
Visit cityofevanston.org/snow for more information. Thank you for your cooperation as we work to keep Evanston streets safe.
