Another sign today that our late spring has finally arrived — street trees were in full bloom across much of downtown — notably in the 1000 block of Davis Street.

Paul D’Agostino, coordinator of environmental services for the city, says the trees on that block  are Callery pears and that most of them were planted about 15 to 20 years ago.

The National Weather Service says we can expect another pleasant day tomorrow with a high in the low 60s.

Wednesday will be warmer, topping 70 degrees, but with at 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms that could blow some of those blossoms off the trees.
