A 17th vehicle in south Evanston has reported its rear window smashed in this week. This one was in the 800 block of Oakton Street and is among the stories in today’s daily crime report from Evanston police.

Criminal Damage

800 Oakton

A 2013 Dodge, parked in the driveway of a home in the 800 block of Oakton Street, was reported to police as having sustained rear window damage between 8 p.m. Sunday and 6:30 a.m. Monday.

1800 Dodge

Someone was reported kicking and banging the front door of an apartment in the 1800 block of Dodge Avenue around 10 p.m. yesterday.


1600 Washington

A 2012 Ford with an unsecured door was entered in the 1600 block of Washington Street between 7:45 a.m. and 7:22 p.m. yesterday. Nothing was reported taken.

2700 Sheridan

Photo identification, credit and debit cards, vehicle accessories, and alcohol were among items taken from a 2012 Land Rover in the 2700 block of Sheridan Road between midnight and 7 a.m. yesterday.


2200 Main

Michael S. Sperekas, 18, of 4703 Davis St., Skokie, was arrested at 2200 Main St. at 1:55 a.m. Saturday and charged with robbery.


2200 Howard

An appliance was taken from a retail establishment in the 2200 block of Howard Street around 3 p.m. yesterday.

1900 Green Bay

A black 2018 Nissan sedan was taken from the 1900 block of Green Bay Road around 6:25 p.m. on May 7.

1128 Chicago

Ava L. Lindsey, address unknown, was arrested at 1128 Chicago Ave. at 8 p.m. yesterday and charged with retail theft. She is due in court on June 25 at 9 a.m.


Dodge at Emerson

Reggie A. Henley, 41, of 1216 Pitner Ave., was arrested at Dodge Avenue and Emerson Street at 7:51 p.m. yesterday and charged with a traffic violation.

1422 Dodge

Toni R. Moseley, 28, of 1738 Darrow Ave., was arrested at 1422 Dodge Ave. at 4:45 a.m. yesterday and charged with driving under the influence. She is due in court on June 18 at 9 a.m.

1600 Church

Adeola O. Obasanya, 28, of 1630 Chicago Ave., was arrested at 1600 Church St. at 5:34 p.m. on May 14 and charged with a traffic violation. She is due in court on June 20 at 10:30 a.m.

An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
