Students who are considering taking an Advanced Placement course next year at Evanston Township High School are invited to attend its “AP Winter Combine” next Saturday, Jan. 24.

The session, to be held from 9 a.m. to noon at the school, 1600 Dodge Ave., is open to freshmen, sophomores, and juniors and is designed to help prepare students for the course selection process.

Prospective AP students will meet teachers and current AP students to learn about AP expectations and supports and to determine which courses will best align with their individual interests, current strengths and challenges, and overall academic goals.

There will also be content-specific sessions in the areas of Career & Technical Education, English, Fine Arts, History & Social Sciences, Mathematics, Science, and World Languages.
