Burglars yesterday entered apartments in the 700 block of Austin Street and the 400 block of Elmwood Avenue. These are among stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Burglary

700 Austin

Burglars forced their way into an apartment in the 700 block of Austin Street between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. yesterday and stole photo identification documents.

400 Elmwood

Burglars made off with a smart watch and a gaming system from an apartment in the 400 block of Elmwood Avenue between 7:50 a.m. and 4:06 p.m. yesterday.

1454 Elmwood

Michael Brandon Haywood, 33, of 1826 Darrow Ave., was arrested at Evanston police headquarters at 12:14 p.m. on Feb. 12 and charged with criminal sexual assault.

Theft

2450 Main

Van Halen I. Subrean, 31, of 1842 W. Palm Drive, Mount Prospect, was arrested at 2450 Main St. at 12:24 p.m. yesterday and charged with theft. He is due in court on March 26 at 9 a.m.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court apearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
