Police in Hutchinson, Kan., say they’ve arrested a suspect in the fatal shooting of an Evanston man there Monday night.

They say the plan to charge Michael Briscoe, 35, of 426 East 8th St. in Hutchinson with first degree murder. He was taken into custody Wednesday evening.

Sem Adrien, 26, of 1717 McDaniel Ave. in Evanston, was found critically wounded about 11:30 p.m. Monday in the parking lot of a local business by people who lived across the street. He was pronounced dead at the Hutchin Regional Medical Center a short time later.

He’d been working to set up the grandstand at the Kansas State Fair the week before he was killed.
